ONE WHOLE YEAR!

On November 21 we had our 1 year anniversary! I can't believe it has been a whole year. It seems to have gone by so fast with so much that has happened to us.
The day before my mom sent us an anniversary package. It was so CUTE! She sent us Ghirardelli Chocolates (San Francisco chocolate), Almond Joys, and a towel cake! That may sound weird, but it is so fun. My mom always makes a cake out of white dish towels for bridal showers she helps with. Since she didn't throw my bridal shower she made me a mini one. It even looked like my cake. I was so excited!
We spent a very nice day celebrating. Tanner was so sweet and got me beautiful flowers that morning. Yellow flowers are my favorite. Later that afternoon we were able to finally make it to the Winter Quarters Temple. It's neat to have a historical temple as ours :) Afterwards we went to a really nice fun Italian restaurant in Omaha that reminded us of a little place we went to on our honeymoon in San Fran. Tanner splurged a little and got a seafood dish because it is his favorite, but we decided after we ate it that no matter how well it was cooked we are just too far away from the ocean to get the good stuff.
It was a wonderful day!

Thank you George Foreman!

So we had a funny little mishap at our house this week. Tanner was doing some great cooking as always (I knew I married him for a good reason ;) and I was in the living room having a little nap. The next thing I hear is "crap!" I walk into the kitchen (no need to run because it isn't far enough way from the living room in a one bedroom apartment) and I come to find out that when Tanner was preparing his grill he didn't know the plastic drip pan was still inside just melting away. He, needless to say, was a little upset. We thought his grill was completely ruined. So we turned it off and were settled on having to throw it away. Miraculously, when he started picking at it after it cooled off it all came right off. Talk about non-stick! The grill was as good as new; like nothing had even happened to it. We were much happier about that. Tanner has decided he needs to write a letter to Mr. George Foreman to applaud him for his excellent grill. Bravo!

So I guess since we are all married and official now we are required by family law to join the blogging community or be kicked out for good. They have kindly given us four months of marriage to set it up, but I think they are all a little antsy now (especially jenny's 15 yr. old sister who is blog happy-love you holly!) Anyways, Dun-dun-dun-da! Here it is!  So every one should be happy now :) Actually I have really been looking forward to setting this up, there just isn't enough time to do everything you want to do when you want to do it. I think life will always be like that-crazy, unorganized no matter how hard you try to keep up, and just insane. But we love it and we love it together. It is so much better that way, we have now happily come to find out. Even if he doesn't like raisins and I don't like milk it is, as the famous Jack Johnson says,"better together".
